The KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr. Super Zuma, officially unveiled the Department's Brand Ambassadors at a strategic engagement on 02 June 2023 in Mayville, Durban. The main objective of unveiling these Brand Ambassadors is to assist in disseminating the mandate of the Department across the Province. 

The day’s proceedings started with MEC Super Zuma exploring aquaculture practices at a Hub based in Malvern, south of Durban. MEC Zuma further proceeded to visit the Themba Elisha Community Project in Kwadabeka, Ward 20. This visit was undertaken to oversee damage caused by floods and to support the project with all the necessities required. 

This engagement falls under the banner of the Department’s One Home, One Garden initiative where the MEC handed over farming implements, seeds and seedlings to the farmers in order to improve food security and mitigate escalating food prices.
