In commemoration of Youth Month, MEC Super Zuma accompanied by Acting HOD Zibusiso Dlamini, visited the Cedara College of Agriculture stand at the Agricultural Royal Show Grounds, to honor students from the College who achieved sterling results in respective categories that they participated in.

Part of this visit was met with amazing news of students from Cedara and Owen Sithole Colleges of Agriculture having achieved incredible feats in the field of agriculture. The Future Farmer competition saw Siphesihle Linda winning the Best Handler of the Day award and Nbabenhle Shezi 3rd year student, winning the Reserve Champion Carcass award from Cedara College. 

OSCA also did amazingly with a 2nd place by Siphesihle Dlamini in the Student Challenge Competition, with Macekeceke winning the overall winner in the Future Farmer Competition for the stud Silver Bullet. The colleges achieved various awards in the Halter trained slaughter classes amongst others.

MEC Super Zuma further went on to interact with other officials manning and sharing public service information with the public at the Agricultural Royal Show. This year’s edition is said to be the last one at the site and it promises to be a very special one.
