The MEC for Agriculture and Rural Development Mr. Super Zuma lead a food security and poverty alleviation campaign in Ward 29, uMhlumayo, under UThukela District on 08 and 09 June 2023.

The One Home, One Garden programme seeks to intensify the efforts of the Department to end poverty and enable food security in the Province.

While visiting 5 families with home gardens, MEC Zuma advocated the gospel of food from the source to curb poverty, increase household health and nutrition and promote social welfare particularly as the country struggles through high inflation prices.

In addition, the MEC handed out wheel barrows, rakes, watering cans and other farming implements to assist households and communities at large.
