16 Days of Activism Programme

As part of the ongoing 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children, the KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Agriculture and Rural Development, Hon. MEC Thembeni KaMadlopha-Mthethwa in her capacity as uMkhanyakude District Champion, intensified the fight against Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (GBVF) in UMhlabuyalingana on Tuesday, 10 December 2024.

"GBVF is one of the major social ills affecting our communities and we have called upon relevant stakeholders to join forces and eliminate such behaviour in our society” said MEC Thembeni KaMadlopha-Mthethwa.

MEC KaMadlopha-Mthethwa further emphasized that close relations with the National Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development will enable the Department tackle all challenges faced by farm dwellers, including the issue of GBVF.
