KZN DARD MEC awards Agricultural Extension advisors for hard work and dedication!

The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Agriculture and Rural Development held its Annual Extension Summit Awards at the Olive Convention Centre in Durban on 28 July 2023, drawing an audience of over 800 agricultural extension officers, guests and officials.

The objective of this summit included equipping Agricultural Advisors with new technological practices and to present new research findings and advances in the sector.

As the programme unfolded, it created an ideal platform for consultation amongst the Advisors to embrace advancements in the field of agricultural activities.

In his address to the Agricultural Advisors, Hon. MEC Super Zuma stated, "Extension officers play a crucial role in providing technical support to rural communities, which is why their role must never be underestimated."

All Agricultural Advisors were honoured and regarded as winners, although only eleven (11) were awarded. These winners received certificates, gifts and monetary remuneration as a token of appreciation for their efforts and dedication.
