KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Agriculture and Rural Development, Mrs. Bongiwe Sithole-Moloi, has welcomed the appointment of Mr. Zibusiso Dlamini as Acting Head of Department, following the departure of former Head of Department Mr. Siza Sibande.

Paving the path to his illustrious career, Mr Dlamini started from humble beginnings employed as an Extension Officer in 2001 based in Kokstad.

During the course of his career in the Public Service, Mr. Dlamini progressed to occupy the Deputy Director-General: Agricultural Development Services position, which he currently occupies on his appointment as the Acting Head of Department.

Welcoming the newly appointed Acting Head of Department, MEC Sithole-Moloi said "It has indeed been a great honour to have someone with so much knowledge of the Department, who has risen within and understands governments processes and mandate in improving the lives of the people of KZN. Through his industriousness, the Department is hoping to achieve and overcome many great milestones in efforts to bring about efficient organizational governance and effective service delivery."

MEC Bongiwe Sithole-Moloi also urged Departmental management to continue working tirelessly and harmoniously in support of Mr. Zibusiso Dlamini to achieve set targets and goals and further eradicate poverty, accelerate job creation and ensure food security for the people of KwaZulu-Natal.
