As part of Operation Sukuma Sakhe, MEC Bongiwe Sithole-Moloi visited the area of Maphumulo, north of Durban where she had a community engagement at Esindi Sportsfield. Here MEC Sithole-Moloi also visited the iKhayalempilo Drop-in centre, oversaw the re-gravelling of the eMambomvini road (D1527), which is about 30% complete and still in progress.

The highlight was the Esindi Community garden visit which saw the project workers receive farming utensils to further assist them in food security and local economic participation.
