The KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Agriculture and Rural Development, Hon. MEC Thembeni kaMadlopha-Mthethwa, attended the State of the Province Address (SOPA) of the Seventh Administration on Friday 27 February 2026 in Pietermaritzburg, joining Provincial leaders, dignitaries and key stakeholders for this significant engagement.

KwaZulu-Natal Premier, Thami Ntuli, delivered the 2026 State of the Province Address, setting out the provincial government’s strategic priorities and outlining a clear programme of action for the year ahead. This year’s address serves as a bold roadmap to accelerate inclusive economic growth, strengthen service delivery and advance sustainable development across the Province.
