The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, led by Hon. MEC Thembeni kaMadlopha-Mthethwa, successfully handed over farming production inputs to the community of uMsinga in the uMzinyathi District on Thursday, 19 November 2025.

This initiative forms part of the Department’s ongoing commitment to empower local farmers and strengthen rural livelihoods. By providing essential agricultural inputs, the Department aims to enhance production capacity, bolster food security and create sustainable economic opportunities for farmers and surrounding communities.

The handover reaffirms the Department’s dedication to supporting inclusive agricultural development and fostering resilient, self-sustaining farming enterprises across KwaZulu-Natal.
