The Minister of Land Reform and Rural Development, Mr. Mzwanele Nyhontso, along with his counterpart, the KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Agriculture and Rural Development, Mrs Thembeni KaMadlopha-Mthethwa, officially launched the state-of-the-art Noodsberg Farmer Production Support Unit (FPSU) at KwaSwayimane near New Hanover, on Thursday 19 December 2024.

This facility was well received by the South African Farmers Development Association. (SADFA). This FPSU will assist small-scale sugarcane growers and Black farmers from various sectors across the agricultural value chain within the UMshwathi area and subsequently benefit the surrounding community members.
