KZN Agriculture MEC Madlopha-Mthethwa says that in efforts to bolster agricultural activities, farmer support and assistance to the communities and farmers at a local level, the Department is considering providing one Extension Officer per Ward in KwaZulu-Natal. KaMadlopha-Mthethwa was speaking at Loskop's Inyezane Community Hall on Monday 25 November 2024, during the Provincial Premier led Crime Imbizo. KaMadlopha-Mthethwa also assured the public that nine thousand units of dipping chemicals currently being distributed in the province would be enough until the end of the first quarter of 2025. She also encouraged youth to take up agricultural studies and apply for learnership opportunities in the Department.
