The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Agriculture and Rural Development honoured Public Service Women in Management Week (PSWMW) with a gathering of female managers at the Bon Hotel in Empangeni on Thursday, 29 August 2024.

The engagement, convened by the Head of Department, Mr Zibusiso Dlamini, provided an opportunity to reflect on the strides made in women's empowerment and development in the public service, as well as discussing ideas to improve the agricultural sector.

This opportunity also afforded all in attendance a chance to engage with the HOD and Senior Management and express the challenges that are faced on a daily basis.

HOD urged employees to continue showing a high level of unwavering commitment and professionalism when performing their tasks.

Speaking at the meeting, he stated, "Your presence is another indication of an intense dedication and desire to ensure that women are in a position to contribute significantly to the government's efforts to promote gender equality."
