Multi-Sectoral Crime Fighting and Service Delivery Imbizo

The KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government, led by Premier Nomusa Dube-Ncube, embarked on a two-day Multi-sectoral Crime Fighting and Service Delivery Imbizo at Inchanga on Wednesday, 24 April 2024.

For the past 30 years the Government has been dedicated to bettering the lives of its people through initiatives that are designed to fight poverty, unemployment and inequality.

As part of the provincial strategy to ensure that the Province is food secure, MEC Super Zuma visited various households within Ward 4, promoting the One Home One Garden programme which encourages the establishment of backyard gardens.

Households received fencing material, farming implements and seedlings. They will further be assisted by the Department with expertise to develop their gardens.

MEC Zuma said all households must have reliable access to a sufficient quantity of nutritious food. This would be achieved by using the soil, a source of wealth for rural communities.

“It is evident that our message of starting vegetable gardens to alleviate hunger is being heard. We will continue to support those who have aligned themselves with our vision of alleviating hunger and poverty. We are also prepared to assist them to grow into sustainable businesses as the ultimate goal is to create rural agricultural firms,’ said MEC Zuma.
