The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development lead by Hon. MEC Bongiwe Sithole-Moloi hosted the International World Food Day celebrations in Mpophomeni (Ward 11) PMB, uMgungundlovu District.

As part of the proceedings, MEC Sithole-Moloi handed over farming implements to the Sizabantu Farming project in Mpophomeni. A food mountain was constructed with the KZN Department of Social Development, where impoverished and ailing families in the area received food packs and gardening implements under the One Home One Garden program.
