KZNDARD MEC Bongiwe Sithole-Moloi visits the King Cetshwayo District offices to assess the staff readiness to implement the programmes of the department following the tabling of the 2019/20 Budget Vote

The MEC for Agriculture and Rural Development, Mrs Bongiwe Sithole-Moloi, was at the King Cetshwayo District office as part of her series of site visits to the Departmental offices to assess operations and challenges at the coalface of service delivery. To date the MEC has attended to several other offices of the Department including the State entities under the KZN Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.“The aim is to interface with Departmental staff, and to check the resources and facilities that employees of the Department are utilizing on a day to day basis. It is imperative that all offices work efficiently and effectively so as to fast-track the provision of service delivery to our communities,” said MEC Sithole-Moloi.

After presenting her budget vote at the KZN Legislature recently MEC Sithole-Moloi indicated that the Department has been allocated R2.4 billion in this financial year and therefore it is crucial to commence the implementation of the planned programmes and projects to meet all the planned Departmental targets. The MEC’s visits will cover the entire offices of the Department at a random approach.
