ALL APPLICANTS MUST PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT POINTS:

APPLICATION AND RESERVATION PROCEDURES:

  • The medium of instruction will be in English (unless indicated otherwise)
  • All reservations must be done on the correct application form (posted/faxed or emailed) AT LEAST ONE MONTH prior to course commencement.
  • Persons without prior bookings will be turned away.
  • Payment must be made at the Department of Agriculture offices, cashiers office prior to attending the course
  • An EFT payment must be done at least 3 days before and proof of payment to be faxed
  • Account details will be provided upon request
  • Please produce a receipt or deposit slip upon registration on the first day of the course.
  • Fees include course notes, lunches and teas.

ALL COURSES ARE LIMITED TO 20 LEARNERS UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED

Rules and Guidelines:

1.  ALL COURSES START AT 8:30 AND FINISH AT 16:00 ON EACH DAY OF THE COURSE. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO BE PUNCTUAL.

2.  THE COURSE WILL BE CANCELLED IF THERE ARE LESS THAN 10 LEARNERS.

3.  A CONFIRMATION CALL OR SMS WILL BE SENT TO CLIENTS 2 WEEKS BEFORE THE COURSE. IF A CONFIRMATION HAS NOT BEEN RECEIVED, PLEASE ASSUME THAT THE COURSE IS FULLY BOOKED, POSTPONED OR CANCELLED DUE TO AVAILABLITY OF TRAINERS

4.  CONFIRMATION OF BOOKING WILL BE SENT TO THE RELEVANT PEOPLE, UPON REQUEST.

5.  PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THE VENUE IN ADVANCE.

6.  ALL LEARNERS MUST ADHERE TO STARTING AND FINISHING TIMES.

7.  A REGISTER WILL BE CIRCULATED AT RANDOM TIMES DURING THE COURSE.

8.  PLEASE PRESENT YOUR ID DOCUMENT AT REGISTRATION.

9.  A CERTIFICATE OF COMPETENCY WILL BE ISSUED TO THOSE COURSE PARTICIPANTS WHO ARE FOUND TO BE COMPETENT. ASSESSMENTS ARE COMPULSORY FOR ALL LEARNERS. IF A COURSE DOES NOT HAVE AN ASSESSMENT, AND THE FULL COURSE IS ATTENDED A CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE WILL BE ISSUED.

10.  NON-ATTENDANCE AT A COURSE MUST BE CONVEYED TO THE COORDINATOR OF THE COURSE ASAP.

11.  ALL CELL PHONES MUST BE SWITCHED OFF FOR THE DURATION OF THE COURSE.

12.  ANYONE ARRIVING AFTER 10AM ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE COURSE WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ATTEND THE COURSE (unless prior arrangements have been made for late arrival).

Certificates, Applications, Accomodation and Times to note:

SHORT COURSE

Participants will be assessed on their theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
CERTIFICATE: A certificate of competency will be issued to those course participants who are found to be competent. Assessments are compulsory for all learners. Learners must pass the assessments to receive a certificate of competency. If a course does not have an assessment, and the full course is attended a certificate of attendance will be issued.
