Housing and Interior

This course is compulsory for Consumer sciences specialization students.

Pre-requisite: Clothing Production.

It comprises of concepts of : The South African Housing Policy, housing and the society, Family and Individual needs, housing styles, changes in housing styles, informal settlements, factors influencing housing choices, desirable features at home, good taste and design, design elements and principles, materials for interior decoration and financial aspects in housing.

SOIL SCIENCE II

This is a compulsory course for all students specializing in Crop and Animal production. The core requisites are Soil science 1A & 1B.

It covers concepts of Soil acidity and alkalinity, plant and animal life soil, organic matter, biological and nitrogen in soil, liming material and application, fertilizers, soil analysis, utility potential of soil, water and soil for irrigation purposes.
