Introduction:
It is the rural development vision to see rural communities in KwaZulu-Natal by 2030 having sustainable prosperity through viable development, growing economies, healthy and skilled people, full employment and universal access to all basic social services. This will be achieved through co-ordinating and facilitating the scale up and the provision of integrated comprehensive rural development for sustainable well- being of rural communities.
As Rural Development is a transversal issue, the Rural Development Branch will play a co-ordinating and facilitative role in the Department and in the province to enable the achievement of the overall National and provincial vision, strategies and plans.
