The MEC for the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mrs Thembeni kaMadlopha-Mthethwa, was amongst dignitaries attending the Freedom Day Commemoration on Monday 27 April 2026 , held at the Ladysmith Indoor Sports Complex in Mnambithi within Alfred Duma Local Municipality. KaMadlopha-Mthethwa wished everyone a joyous Freedom Day, particularly to the farmers, staff, and the public. She dedicated to prioritising youth empowerment programmes this year by providing them with opportunities that would result in financial freedom.
