The KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Agriculture and Rural Development, Hon. Thembeni KaMadlopha-Mthethwa, attended the Senior Citizens Engagement led by the Honourable Premier of KwaZulu-Natal, Mr. Thami Ntuli, on Wednesday, 17 December 2025, at the Makhasa Community Hall in Hluhluwe.

The engagement formed part of Government’s ongoing commitment to honour and express appreciation for the invaluable contributions made by elderly citizens across the Province. It also provided a platform to engage senior citizens on issues affecting their wellbeing, while reaffirming government’s dedication to promoting dignity, care, and social inclusion for older persons.

During the event, the Hon. Premier, Mr. Thami Ntuli, presented senior citizens with Christmas goodies as a gesture of gratitude for their lifelong service to society.
