In strengthening our 'One Home, One Garden' campaign, the Department is mobilizing various sectors of our society to take the message forward.
The 'One Church, One Garden' initiative was launched at Ngwavuma, in northern KwaZulu-Natal on the 24th August 2024. The Department is calling on church leaders and members to ensure that all church buildings be made green with vegetable gardens. This will contribute to ensuring food security in the province.
KZN Agriculture MEC Madlopha-Mthethwa launched the campaign at Ingwavuma Evangelical Church.
KaMadlopha-Mthethwa donated approximately ten thousand seedlings that would also be given to cooperatives around the area.
