Deputy President H.E. Paul Mashatile with some of Ministers and Deputy Ministers of the Cabinet accompanied by KZN Premier Nomusa Dube, KZNDARD MEC Super Zuma and COGTA MEC Bongiwe Sithole-Moloi, embarked on a District Development Model and Human Resources Development Council visit at the Agriculture and Rural Development offices in Cedara, Pietermaritzburg.

This was part of various oversight visits by the DP in the uMgungundlovu District of KwaZulu-Natal. 

Some of the main Department's activities and initiatives included the cultivation of cannabis at the Soil Science Services, a visit to the Juncao Mushroom Centre and seeds and seedlings manufacturing by the Department.
